Hello, I'm Jason!

I offer golf instruction to members and guests of Alta Mesa Golf Club and I thought you would be interested in getting to know me a little better.

My journey in golf began in a small town in upstate New York on a nine-hole golf course. I learned the game by playing a-lot which led to 11 club championship victories along with wins at both the Delaware and Orange County Amateur Championships as well as at the Woodstock Open.

My love of learning and passion to get better led me to a man who changed my life: William A Carter from Mamaroneck, NY. "Willie" as he was known mentored me for 12 years and introduced me to Butch Harmon. Over the years I've attended many National and local Teaching & Coaching Summits and I have learned from many great teachers. Mr. Harmon in particular has been very gracious in allowing me to mentor under him and his staff at his School at Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada. 

 

When it comes to coaching, I believe in a simple teaching philosophy: "Developing sound fundamentals then trusting your swing." I like to teach people to "play golf" using what individuals bring to the table. As a coach I know how to quickly diagnose and correct then motivate and inspire students to bring out their best. My holistic approach to learning brings results and helps individuals reach their full potential.
